Mental Health Therapist

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a regular, full-time, exempt position that reports to the Director of Clinical Services.

You strive to meet the needs of complex learners by providing students, classroom groups, and families with positive energy and a strength-based approach. You collaborate with other members of the Clinical Services team and school staff to support students in finding success within their communities.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Conduct clinical services including individual, group and family therapy sessions, psycho-social assessment, and goal planning/tracking. 
• Provide direct support and consultation services to clients and staff members and other professionals. 
• Deliver training and education to other team members and clients on assigned topics within scope of practice. 
• Facilitate open communication, the team process within the Agency, and a positive attitude toward program function and general Agency goals.  
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team that includes Special Education Teachers, Behavior Specialists, Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Program Counselors in a classroom milieu. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
• Master’s degree in a relevant field, with valid CA clinical license (LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW).
