A correctional facility is seeking a clinical psychologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located about 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. It serves as the county seat of Comanche County and is one of the larger cities in the region. The city is also close to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, which offers scenic views, hiking trails, and opportunities to observe wildlife like bison and longhorn cattle.
You will have the option to work either four ten-hour days or five eight-hour days, primarily focusing on adult males. Your main responsibility will be to assess and diagnose individualssuch as inmates, detainees, or residentswith mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. In this role, you will oversee mental health services, including supervising and training staff. You'll evaluate and treat individuals referred by nursing or medical professionals to ensure they receive proper care for injuries and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
