Diabetes Redefined is an innovative practice focused on empowering individuals, living with diabetes and/or other chronic conditions to support their health and live more engaged lives. Individuals, couples, and families with and without diabetes are welcome. Through holistic, personalized support, we provide access to general and lifestyle counseling, mental health services, and practical guidance to help our clients.
We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable licensed couples therapist based in Oregon to join our team as an independent contractor. In this role, you will support clients navigating a variety of relationship and mental health concerns, including relational distress, communication concerns, and conflict resolution. *If you're interested in expanding your practice, we offer specialized training in diabetes-focused therapy, providing an opportunity to develop expertise in a growing area of mental health care.
Qualifications:
● Licensed in Oregon (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, or PhD). *Supervision is available for
therapists who are pre-licensure.
● Specialized training or certification in couples therapy preferred (e.g., Gottman, EFT,
Imago).
● Strong clinical skills in relational dynamics, conflict resolution, and attachment theory.
● Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
● Experience with telehealth is a plus.
Responsibilities:
● Provide therapy for couples experiencing relationship challenges, communication issues,
and conflict resolution needs.
● Utilize evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT),
Gottman Method, or Imago Therapy.
● Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain progress notes in
compliance with ethical and legal standards.
● Document progress in a timely manner, track client goals, and maintain detailed session
notes according to legal and ethical compliance requirements.
● Offer a warm, affirming, and inclusive space for clients from diverse backgrounds.
