The clinician conducts an initial psychiatric assessment upon client admission, evaluating their bio-psychosocial history, mental status, diagnosis, and treatment needs. They determine if residential treatment is necessary and approve the Initial Plan of Care within 24 hours. Additionally, they sign orders and prescriptions as needed and collaborate with the team to develop and approve a Comprehensive Individualized Plan of Care (CIPOC) within 11 days of admission.
