Job description

-Monday–Friday; Full time; 5/8s
-Start Date: April -30-40 days to credential
-Types of cases: Sex offender evaluations
-Conduct psychological evaluations for I/D/R populations, assessing mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
-Evaluate mental status and severity to determine the need for higher-level care or placement under observation (e.g., suicide risk, inability to adjust).
-Provide psychotherapy/counseling for psychological disorders and make referrals to psychiatrists or other professionals for psychotropic medication.
-Monitor medication compliance and refer to medical professionals for possible side effects.
-Train staff and officers on suicide risk recognition and prevention.
-Offer in-service education for medical and correctional staff, including crisis intervention techniques.
-Maintain accurate records of I/D/R encounters and required reports.
-Consult with Physicians/Psychiatrists as needed for health care concerns.
