Are you a dedicated and experienced psychologist seeking a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the care and development of individuals with developmental disabilities? The Illinois Department of Human Services is looking for a Psychologist III to serve as Staff Psychologist and Clinical Program Coordinator at the Ludeman Developmental Center in Park Forest, IL. This is your chance to lead impactful programs, train staff, and coordinate essential clinical services for the individuals we serve.
💼 What You’ll Do:
• Serve as Staff Psychologist and Clinical Program Coordinator for professional staff and Behavior Intervention Committee (BIC) members.
• Coordinate psychiatric follow-up, review clinical data, and adjust individual programming based on analysis.
• Chair the Behavior Intervention Committee, ensuring adherence to policies and guidelines for restrictive procedures.
• Assist in facility-wide psychological training, focusing on behavior intervention and aggression management.
• Provide consultation to community agencies in the service area.
📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Doctoral degree in psychology (or master’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience).
• At least 2 years of professional psychology experience (5 years can substitute for a doctoral degree).
• Ability to provide leadership, manage a caseload, and collaborate with other professionals.
• Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist may be required (Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation).
• Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
