Non-Licensed Behavioral Health Manager

The California Rural Indian Health Board, Inc. (CRIHB) is committed to the needs and interests that elevate and promote the health status and social conditions of the Indian people of California. CRIHB does this by providing advocacy, shared resources, training, and technical assistance that enhances the delivery of quality comprehensive health-related services.

The primary purpose of the Behavioral Health Manager is to provide support and an overview of grant- funded programs to CRIHB Tribal Health Program (THP) members. The Behavioral Health Manager will work closely with behavioral health staff at CRIHB THP locations to provide training, technical assistance, and guidance on behavioral health programming.

Some Essential Functions include:
- Utilizing published clinical standards, regulations, law, ethics, etc., provide training on clinical best practices to THP behavioral health staff.
- Train THP behavioral health staff to prepare clinical documentation and billing forms.
- Participate in accreditation and site reviews.
- Train THP behavioral health staff to assist clients in navigating through other community systems such as schools, courts, and primary care.
- Advocate for client needs and community benefits as requested by THPs, Tribal Social Services, Alcohol and Drug Treatment Services Departments, etc.
- Ensure CRIHB behavioral health program staff complete grant deliverables in full, on time, and within budget, including communicating with subcontracting THP and Tribal organization staff.
- Participate in grant and report writing for current and future funding opportunities.

Some Qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field and two (2) years of related administrative oversight experience in behavioral health programming; or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with five (5) years of related administrative oversight experience in behavioral health programming is required.
- One (1) year of management/supervisory experience is required.
