DirectShifts is urgently looking for Psychologists in Napa, CA

Minimum Requirements for Temporary/Relief Psychologists:

California Licensure.
Minimum one (1) year post-license experience.
Minimum six months working with the severely mentally ill.
Doctoral degree in psychology from an American Psychological Association accredited school or commensurate training and experience as determined by the Credentialing Committee.
Completed an American Psychological Association or Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers accredited internship.
Ability to be reimbursed for services by Medicare.
Knowledge or ability to learn about the forensic aspect of the Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGI), Incompetent to Stand Trial (IST), Offenders with Mental Health Disorders (OMD), Sexually Violent Predators (SVP) and Mentally ill Inmates and their Memorandums of Understanding (MOU).
Experience with or ability to learn about risk assessments.
Strong assessment and psychological testing skills, especially violence risk assessments.
Experience in facilitating psycho-educational and process groups.
Experience in providing individual psychotherapy.
Experience with practical treatment and management of personality disorders, especially those with antisocial personality disorder and serious and persistent mental illness.
All Psychologists referred are subject to our review and approval before assignment under this Agreement.
Satisfactory State of California BGC and eligibility for a contractor identification badge, as described more particularly in the Project Contract.
Preferred Experience:

One year of work experience with serious mental illness in a forensic facility.
One year of work experience writing and conducting psychological evaluations.
One year of work experience with court testimony regarding forensic report writing.
One year of work experience with forensic consultation with treatment providers regarding patient progress.
