Psychology Services of Alaska is looking for a motivated, highly skilled Psychologist/therapist to help develop and expand our growing program. We aim to provide a wide array of mental health services throughout the community. As a branch of Anchorage Bariatrics, they also collaborate with their staff in supporting and evaluating bariatric patients. The ideal candidate must be passionate about helping others and have a strong background in outpatient mental health, integrated care, psychological/psychosocial assessment, and psychotherapy.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial evaluations to establish an accurate diagnosis.
• If within your scope, conduct pre-surgical psychological evaluations.
• Provide ongoing psychotherapy to wide array of patients.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress.
• Collaborate with program staff in developing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Hybrid schedule of in-person and telehealth is available.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Must be a licensed psychologist, social worker, marriage and family therapist, or professional counselor.
• Proficient in conducting diagnostic assessments have knowledge of current ICD-10 codes.
• Be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
• Experience with and desire to supervise and teach students.
• Experience working in an outpatient setting, private practice, or integrated behavioral health model preferred.
