DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

●       Performing psychiatric evaluations for patients pursuing residential, partial hospital and intensive outpatient services
●       Weekly psych appt and med mgmt.- follow up on prescription changes with parents (provide education and get signed med           consent) - use E prescribing system in KIPU to order and prescribe 
●       Review weekly labs
●       Follow up with outpatient physician offices for PHP and coordinate necessary external medical referrals for care for Residential patients
●       Attend treatment team meetings as required (Wednesdays)
●       Audit charting, MAR, vitals, H&Ps for medical staff
●       Doc to Doc reviews
●       Writing psychiatric discharge summaries and providing discharge instructions to patients and families
●       Conducting peer-to-peer reviews with managed care companies for continued care.
●       Review of client vitals, weight, and height logs    
●       Responsible to ensure all the medications needed by the clients are ordered appropriately and available in the facility.
●       Assesses client’s suicidality and possibility of danger to self or others.
●       Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
●       Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director

 Must be a North Carolina Licensed Practitioner preferably with a Psychiatric specialty.  MD, Physchiatrist , FNP(psych), PA C (psych), PNP, etc.

Eating disorder experience preferred but not required.
