Our facility, formed in 2016, is a 10-bed residential therapeutic community that offers intensive residential mental health treatment for young adults aged 18-30. The goal is for residents to develop a sense of mastery, reflectiveness and effectiveness in embracing life. The Primary Clinician position serves several roles for the residents including psychotherapist, case manager and team liaison. Direct clinical services include: Admission intakes; Creating clinical treatment plans and monitoring resident progress; Providing intensive psychodynamically oriented individual psychotherapy; Supporting crisis work; Family therapy as needed; Facilitating weekly psychodynamic process groups. Requirements include: Possess a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in counseling or clinicals psychology from an APA-accredited program and the completion of an APA accredited internship. Postdocs are encouraged to apply. Candidates with an MSW from psychodynamic programs and appropriate post-graduate psychodynamic training are also encouraged to apply. Must either be licensed in the State of Vermont or must become licensed within 18 months of beginning work.
