About the Role:

As a Substance Abuse Peer Recovery Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. You'll provide outreach, facilitate support groups, share your lived experience to inspire others, and connect clients with valuable resources.

What You'll Do:

Offer support and encouragement to clients struggling with substance abuse or co-occurring disorders.
Facilitate recovery-oriented groups and individual wellness plans.
Assist clients with community integration, including housing, employment, and transportation resources.
Educate clients on the recovery process, drawing on your own experience when appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions.
Promote self-advocacy skills to empower clients to access the services they need.
What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or GED (some college preferred).
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or APPR/WRAP facilitator a plus.
