POSITION: Crisis Worker, Virginia Programs (Full-Time)

HOURS PER WEEK: 40 hours per week; Shift times may be subject to change based upon contractual and operational needs




SUMMARY STATEMENT OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Crisis Worker will use active listening and provide emotional support to the Regional Crisis Call Center which provides support via phones and text. This is a line which primarily handles contacts from within the state of Virginia, specifically, from Regions 1, 2, 4 or 5 and supports the state of Virginia through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Additionally, the Regional Call Center supports connection to Mobile Crisis Response, Care Navigation, 911 Diversion, locally based textline, PSAP/REACH line, and our stakeholders. Your assignment may be phone or chat and text-based as this will be based upon availability, staffing and operational needs. 988 is evolving all the time as a brand-new system. PRIMARY DUTIES:


Handle contacts by engaging our core philosophies to provide a crisis intervention, safety and risk assessment, information and referrals, and intake screening of callers seeking Mobile Crisis Response and other community services.

Respond to all offered calls via the Five9 or equivalent platform.
