This position follows a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts and 3-4 24-hour call shifts during the "on" week, covering consults, admissions, discharges, and emergencies. The adult inpatient psych unit has 37 beds, typically with a census of 30+, divided between 2 physicians and 2-3 residents. Providers round on 15-18 patients daily, with admissions and discharges varying based on bed availability. The consult service averages 3 new consults per day, with follow-ups as needed. Family practice handles H&Ps. Average patient stays are 5-7 days, and the EMR system used is Meditech.
