Clinical Social Work
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing in-depth individual counseling services to Tribal children and youth in areas including co-occurring disorders, psychiatric disorders, domestic violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, alcohol abuse and/or drug abuse within the Center for Behavioral Health program of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Work involves the application of a variety of advanced mental health service delivery skills (e.g., therapeutic interventions, diagnostic/assessment techniques, etc.). Additionally, work may encompass the use of group methodologies and skill training within established policies and procedures. Employees in this class perform duties with some autonomy; makes independent judgments within established policies and procedures.
Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, or Family Therapy is required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a behavioral health field, including experience working with multi-diagnosed individuals (e.g. mental health disorders/substance dependence-related conditions); family systems and/or community-based treatments is required. Florida State License as Mental Health Counselor (MHC) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Family Therapist (MFT) is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community based treatment. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
