The Assistant Director of Crisis Services is an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the Medical Director. This position will be responsible for supervising all Crisis and Emergency operations to ensure program integrity as well as the delivery of high-quality services that meet the fidelity of the model. The Assistant Director will oversee operations and provide strategic direction for the crisis response, crisis stabilization, and crisis prevention activities which are a 24-hours-a-day, 365 days a year program. This position will also provide overall operational management to include staffing oversight, delivery of services, and continuity of care for individuals with mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities disorders.
The Assistant Director of Crisis Services will:
• Lead the implementation and execution of mental health crisis intervention programs, including mobile crisis units, crisis stabilization units and hotline services.
• Ensure programs meet state and federal regulatory requirements and adhere to best practices in mental health care.
• Lead workforce planning efforts to include developing and executing staffing strategies, to recruit top talent, timely fill vacancies, and successfully onboard new employees. Manage and assess staff performance in accordance with County policies and applicable law. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities and ensure staff are trained in the latest crisis intervention techniques and trauma informed care.
