Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identifies Veterans at risk for suicide, tracks appointments, and coordinates enhanced care as needed
Educates providers, Veterans, families, and members of the community about risk factors and warning
signs for suicide and identifies treatment options.
Responsible for the Suicide Prevention Program nationally required duties which encompasses planning,
administering, and monitoring of national suicide prevention program.
Manages and controls the use of data related to the Suicide Prevention Program regarding day-to-day
functions, program evaluation, the development of policies and procedures, and prepares reports and
statistics for the facility, regional and national use.
Requirements:
United States Citizenship
Current, full and unrestricted psychology license from any US state or District of Columbia
Have successfully completed an APA or CPA-accredited professional psychology internship training
program
Demonstrated multidisciplinary experience with inpatient and/or outpatient care services in acute
psychological care settings
