CLINICAL SPECIALIST – CCBHC CLINICS

Under the general supervision of the VP of Direct Clinical Services, the Behavioral Health Clinician – Outpatient Clinics provides intakes, assessments, treatment, psychotherapy, and referrals to a broad range of individuals. This includes meeting regularly with members, creating individualized treatment plans and providing therapeutic and crisis intervention services.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnoses and treats mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
• Provides assessments, treatments, psychotherapy, and referrals to a broad range of members.
• Determines the status of member’s mental health by using medical information, interviews, observation, and testing, as well as collaboration with other staff members.
• Reviews results of psychological evaluations.
• Reviews evaluations from community providers to assess member needs.
• Creates individualized treatment plans that include goals and objectives for each member.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Master’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of professional clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting.

REQUIRED LICENSE(S).

A Valid State of Michigan clinical licensure: LMSW, LPC, LLP or PhD.
A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
CAADC License preferred.
