WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Under the general supervision of the Director of Grants and Community Engagement, the Workforce Development Coordinator plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates trainings, meetings, conferences, and events for the mental health and behavioral health industry. The Workforce Development Coordinator works directly with and cultivates relationships with mental health and behavioral health organizations and stakeholders throughout Wayne County to develop and execute approximately 60-100 events per year.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans, organizes, coordinates, promotes, and facilitates trainings, meetings, conferences, and events, both large-scale and intimate, for the community mental health industry.
• Works directly with and cultivates relationships with mental health and behavioral health organizations and stakeholders throughout Wayne County.
• Develops, organizes, and produces approximately 60-100 events per year.
• Reviews advertising requests and forms for printed materials and proofreads documents created to ensure accuracy.
• Enters, analyzes, and interprets data and prepares detailed reports.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in the Human Services, Social Services, Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Social Work, Public Relations, Sociology, or a related field.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of professional experience conducting trainings, seminars, organizing conferences, or coordinating meetings and events.
REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
A valid State of Michigan Driver’s License with a safe and acceptable driving record.
